West Virginia may have the best offense in the country next year. We finally have a REAL O coordinator. Lost a lot on defense but if Casteel can have them playing half as good as he did this year, I see a top 5 finish for my eers. We have so much talent on offense it is just unreal.

I don't know, WR scares me.  I'm sure we'll see some improvement with Holgs calling the shots but I'd say it might be another year before I start getting Top 10 optimistic.  Our recruiting just hasn't been consistently on par with the other perennial Top 25-ers.

Defiantly looking forward to the new coach, though.

WVU To Explore Beer Sales

The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has formally requested the school’s Board of Governors amend its policy to allow the sale of beer at “certain athletic events."

BoG Chair Carolyn Long announced that request as part of a press release from the University Relations office on Friday. Per that release, details of the policy proposed by athletic director Oliver Luck and his department will be available “sometime next week” to begin a 30-day comment period.

If Luck is to get his wish and WVU will begin selling beer at sporting events, it will require the BoG to strike or alter Section 4 of Policy 18, which reads “The selling of beer, wine, or other alcoholic beverages to the general public during athletic events shall be prohibited.”

That policy was made effective in 2003. But Luck said it makes WVU the exception when it comes to its peer institutions.

“Many college stadiums, including all of our counterparts in the Big East Conference, are selling beer in some capacity,” Luck said in a statement released by WVU’s sports communications office Friday.

The proposal is part of a three-pronged approach to alter certain policies and practices surrounding athletic events, particularly those at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Luck’s statement also indicated the athletic department may end the practice of “re-entry” to the stadium, something that was accomplished in past years through to use of so-called “pass outs.”

Top 5 finish where, in the Big East?  Top 5 in the country, now that is some of the funniest crap I have heard in a long time.

Top 5 Offense??

The way I see it the top 10 Os will be:

1. Oregon
2. Stanford
3. Oklahoma
4. Boise State
5. Ok State
6. FSU
7. OSU-they'd be a lot higher if not for the Tressell brew-ha-ha
8. UGa- yep, I think they be 12 times better w/o AJ Green
9. Mich State
10. Michigan

don't see WVU making that list.

Such a classic whiner line, we lost it you didn't win it - guess what the team WVU played had to make the plays to win the game so cry all you want but Patrick Peterson put the Heisman pose on your sorry team.  New OC or not you still have the same sorry head coach, you still have average talent and you still cant even win a watered down Big East so think all you want about winning this year but even if you do what else has your sorry team ever done?? Upsets happen all the time in college football and I think there is a potential for a let down against some of of lesser teams this year (yeah that would be you WVU) but trust me if Les has the team focused and playing like they can and should last years domination will be just a taste of the booty whoopin your team could get.  LSU is stacked at OL, WR, RB, DL, CB, S and the only positions I am worried about are QB, K/P ad MLB.  Good luck and bump this all you want because even if WVU wins its not like YOU had anything to do with it.  Hell I might even fly up for the game now just to talk smack, problem is most WVU wouldn't understand me as I speak English and have all my teeth.

Dont kid yourself, your new OC is not all he is cracked up to be as Mike Gundy is a helluva good offensive mind also so the OSU offense was not just him.  Plus you add that OSU had Dez, Blackmon, Hunter, Pettigrew and all the decent QB's they had and it would take an idiot to mess that offense up.  Everyone seems to think just because a guy did it at one place he will do it at another but this is far from the truth.  As far as Les Miles goes he is a true head coach in that he does not call the offense and defense and his best thing was getting rid of Crowton and getting someone like Kragthorpe in there, someone who can coach and develop QB's.  You will be surprised by LSU's offense this year as I expect big things from Spencer Ware, Rueben Randle, Russell Shepard and maybe even a Jarvis Landry or a Jakhari Gore.  I even expect better numbers from Jordan Jefferson and at some point this year Zach will get some playing time as he is too talented of a QB to sit on the bench.  See you run your mouth but you really have no idea what you are talking about.  LSU has top flight talent at key positions and if it comes down to a coach making a call I would take Les Miles over Bill Stewart or Dana Holgorson anyday.   Lets see Les has how many wins since being at LSU and hmm last time I checked he won a National Championship all while maintaining for the most part a top upper echelon team year in and year out.  Oh yeah LSU also plays in probably the hardest division of the hardest conference in the NCAA yet how many times as WVU won a sorry Big East??  Hmmm guess your "bank" is bankrupt!!

No man you are cool as I love talkin with the best of them.  Put it to you like this, Holgorson cannot do any worse than Stewart and I think he has a better long term offense than Rich Rod so nice hire for you guys.

Appreciate it man.  I am not sure if it will be just me and a buddy or two or extended family as my wife and her family (they all live here) are from West Virginia and my father in-law went to college at WVU.  I will let you know though.

Sucks for him.  I think he has better chance making it to the NFL at his best position, RB. Incredible vision and he is a legit 4.3.
