Had he started even one regular season game in 2009, I'd have said he was given a chance.   He was never given a chance.   Raheem telling him he was going to be starter was a lie.    And after Luke even said he wouldn't sign if Gruden had stayed because he didn't feel he'd get a chance.   LOL!     Gruden gave the guy far more chances than Heemy ever did.    I don't think McCown is any good and never did.   But there was a lot of hype at the time about one of the reasons to fire Gruden was because McCown and Clayton were both going to leave the team if Gruden stayed.   Heemy re-signed both of those guys though...

He got his chance, that preseason start.  And he played well into the game and couldn't do squat against 3rd stringers.  Has he done anything at all since then?  Last I heard he was buried on Jacksonville's depth chart.  Just shows you they were right on,  in evaluating him.  If he went somewhere else and turned into Tom Brady,  you would have an argument.
