When racists are exposed to the light of day it doesn't take long until their true colors are exposed. You certainly need not to be racist to be a birther. But, you would have to be an idiot not to realize that some of these so called birthers  disingenuously hide inside that trojan horse for other obvious reasons.

It's pretty obvious why an African - American would be offended. Remember Howard Cossell's "look at the monkey run" .....it's pretty obvious that one should be sensitive to things like comparing AA to apes. And it is obvious that GWB facial mannerisms were being compared by the pictures that Java posted.

Howard Cosell was calling the Monday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins.  Alvin Garrett (a "Black" wide receiver) for the Redskins broke free on his way to a sure touchdown when Cosell screams "Look at that little monkey run!"  Of course, Cosell received much pressure to resign for what was obviously perceived as a racist statement.  He went on to explain that it was not racial and that he referred to his grandson with the same term of endearment.  Although several athletes came to his defense, he ultimately resigned from the booth under pressure by the network.

Bottom line: The term "racist" has taken on a new meaning to include anyone who is critical of a person of another race. 

The word in its original dictionary form meant roughly anyone who believed that one race was genetically superior over another.  No, that does not mean saying "black guys all like basketball" /"white guys can't dance"/"Asians are good at math" etc. Stereotyping?  Absolutely.  Racist?  No.

So maybe when people say "When people don't know realize they're racist," they might want to first look in the mirror any ask if they're consistently following the same lame Jackson/Sharpton trend and misidentifying something as racist.
