It seems that they posted only 1 out of the 100 on NFL.com, which happened to be MW.  The series premiers on NFL Network on 4/30.

I think that was MW's entire entry in the Top 100.  They chose his entry to be the sample.  To begin seeing the other 99 (including Freeman's), we'll have to wait until Saturday (we = not me, who has Bright House).

It's all about value.

Taking Mike Williams at #3 would have been a terrible draft pick even though his rookie season proved he would have been deserving of such a selection.

And letting him slip to the 4th shows you that they were not sure about him.   If they were, no way they would have let him get past round #3.   They obviously liked Benn better.

No, you dont get it.

He would have been a terrible pick at #3, regardless of his rookie production, because he could easily be had in the third round or later.

The niners had Joe Montana as the #1 QB on their board, but they didnt take him in the first round, because that would be a terrible value pick because they knew they could get him in the third.

It's all about maximizing value on draft day.

Trust me, I know how the draft works.    No way were they sure he would last to the 4th.   They were not sure about him.
