Should the Bucs honor Gruden when he comes in for MNF?

Question From Gorilla: Will the Bucs herald Gruden with an announcement and love when he returns for Monday Night Football?

John Romano: I don’t know. But they should. Even though the Bucs and Gruden parted ways, there is no doubt he was an effective coach in Tampa Bay. Beyond the Super Bowl, he took the team to the playoffs several times. I think the biggest problem is the Glazers picked Gruden over Rich McKay in a power struggle. Gruden needed a strong GM to keep him from making too many short-term decisions on personnel.

Of course.  We won a SB with him at the helm.  He's a great guy.  I think he deserves it.

Yeah, he speaks very highly of us. I think No question, He will go into the Ring of Honor eventually (as should Dungy.) I think it will be nice to see him call our colts game. If you think about it, he's the only media figure on ESPN or NFL Network to ALLWAYS root for us and i thank him for that.

I hope so. He's gone but that doesn't change what he did for this organization. He's always been a class act in the booth when speaking of the Bucs. I still love Jon and what he did. And that will never change. It was the right decision bringing him in, it was the right decision letting him go. It doesn't seem like there is any hard feelings.

Yeah and we should invite all of his wasted draft picks as that should give us a sellout even if we are short!!  Honor Gruden?  For what?  Yeah he was the Head Coach when we won a Super Bowl but he also drove this team back to the Yuccaneers Days, so sorry no thanks.  I hope the Glazers make it so he is never allowed in this stadium again.

Ya sure, his last 2 years were 9-7 seasons with one of those being a division championship.    You obviously know a lot about football....

But to address the subject, yes of course they should honor Gruden.   He's the best head coach the Bucs ever had.
