Gruden never went 3 years in a row without making the playoffs

Gruden's largest increase in victories from one year to the next was 6, Raheem's is 7. Raheem wins.

Had Raheem himself not caused that pathetic 3-13 season, I'd agree with you.    But really he went from a 9-7 team that beat a lot of teams with winning records to a 10-6 team that beat one team with a winning record.


So you guys don't seem to care if the Bucs make the playoffs.   As long as they keep bringing in young rookies with "potential", you guys are dazzled.    It's too bad most of Tampa doesn't agree with that way of thinking or the games wouldn't be blacked out.

Yeah. Late in the season constant losses are horrible. The honorable Gruden should've known better than that.

Gruden left nothing but an aging defense and nothing on offense because he couldn't draft for **CENSORED**. Not asking for a Lombardi.  Asking for him to make the playoffs.    If Gruden can make the playoffs with Chris Simms, Carnell Williams, Michael Clayton, Joey Galloway and Anthony Becht at the offensive skill positions, shouldn't the current team be able to make the playoffs with Josh Freeman, LeGarrette Blount, Mike Williams, Arrelious Benn, and  Kellen Winslow at the skill positions?   By the way, 2005 was the first year for Chris Simms as a starter, Caddy was a rookie and Clayton was quite young as well - so youth can't be an excuse.

I mean what good coach can waste this type of performance by their Defense in a playoff game, at Home nonetheless??  Defense only gives up 120 yards and 9 first downs and a supposed genius on offense can't put up 18 at home???

The single most frustrating loss and the moment I knew Gruden was all flash and no substance. He followed that loss with a 2006 season Waaaaaay more horrible than Raheems first season.

That was the single most frustrating loss?   You must not have seen the 1999 Bucs at home against Giants.


Caddy's fumble and Simms batted passes along with bad ref calls cost the Bucs that Redskins game more than coaching did.     I'm not so sure there was much more that could have been done with Simms at QB in that one.   That Skins D was damn dangerous.   

You think Raheem could win with Simms?    Why don't the Bucs cut Freeman and sign Simms and let's see what happens.
