yea i know, i made a new thread to show what other players think about him, the other few threads had some naysayers that need to see how good this guy is.

He can be our charles woodson type player. the guy that is a key piece to the puzzle going forward.

Aso is a great player. Great chance he would improve the defense, u cant predict to what extent so don't try. To say getting Aso, locks us for the SB is a stretch, even the playoffs is a stretch.

This is what I think about the Glazers being cheap...

My heart says I would love to have Aso, he is a splendid, primo CB.  My head says he is 30; more of a shut down type of CB, rather than a high turn over type, which Morris prizes; and he would throw our entire pay scale scheme out of wack. We would be battling Synder of the Redskins, and I am glad we lost the last encounhter.

Not so sure he would shine as brightly in a zone type defense as opposed to a man to man.

But rest assured, if Dom goes after him, I will be as excited as anyone.

Also, with 27 tackles, not so sure how efficient Aso is against the run.  But Dom is a professional and he knows what direction he wants to pursue.

lol, watch the guys highlights. Hes not as good as Barber against the run, but darn close. Hell lay a hit and isnt afraid to tackle. Also, with a guy like Aso on your roster, youll most likely call plays to his advantages and skill set. He can play both....hes not a strictly man corner.

Yeah Tatman you are probably right.  I know the Bucs value a CB that is effective against the run.  Maybe Aso is better against the run than ihis 27 tackles alude to.

Aso is great against the run... can play in any defense......there is no good reason not to get him.

3 reasons:
1. He will want to be the highest paid CB in league history
2. Considering #1 he better be a perfect fit for our scheme and he is not
3. Not sure what type of guy he is but team chemistry is worth a lot.

He is asked to play a lot different game than we ask Barber to play. Can't compare tackle numbers from a guy who is the best cover guy in the NFL and a guy who is used as a LB half the game.

Going to be very interesting to see where Aso lands.

I dont know. I want him here but something tells me he ends up elsewhere and paid way more than we offered. Thats not to say that we dont go after him but I see somebdody else like Dallas or Washington throwing the guy whatever he puts down on paper.

if the bucs want him I think they can get him....give him a lot of up front money like dbuc  posted so  we have no trouble down the road......think he would love to play here in florida and for morrisa a db guru....match made in heaven....give him 30 up front on a 90  mill 6 year contract....barbers gone next year and talib could be too.....be a good mentor for the young cbs too and hes great in the community.
