I heard they will be going at it Sat, Sun, and Monday....and some sort of news one way or the other is expected Tuesday.

The best part is the owners and players don't even come in till like Tuesday and Wednesday. If you have a deadline and **CENSORED** isn't getting done, you put in overtime till it gets done. Next week is do or die apparently, $200M is on the line from my understanding, if they don't get it done... shame on them.

One of the talking heads on ESPN said today its all worked out except for the teams right of first refusal.  The owners want 3  right-of-first-refusal options on their own free agents.

I think I heard on ESPN that they are 300-400million apart in negotiations.  With $200 million going down the drain with every lost pre season week (or is it game?) a deal almost certainly has to get done.

The word I got is the deal is done. All this other stuff is just prep. What prep easy prep the players and prep the owners. It is better to have the vote with the voters back against the wall. In other words if you have the vote to early sides might want to push for conditions here and there. Put there backs against the wall and the small issues do not seem as important. My source is telling me the deal is done
