It's basically a letter I wish to send to every rookie/draft pick we can find on twitter. Basically telling them how we as fans are excited to see them play but also at the same time explaining the hardships we fans have felt ever since the D-line lost it's groove once Sapp left. I point out the problems we've had filling the stadium since then and how each of the draft picks have unique reasons to be motivated this season, encouraging them to work hard and become bonded together not just on the field, but off it. I said that not since 2002/2003 have we been as excited about the future of this team and said that we all feel this has been one of our best drafts ever. I really mentioned how important Sapp, Brooks etc were in setting an example for Tampa defense and encouraged them to play mean, but that they shouldn't be concerned about replicating them. Just to be themselves and hold nothing back, be unafraid to be the leaders they were coming from college and that will make us all proud.
I thanked the coaching staff too and told them we will gladly press forward with them into the future and we're behind them 100%.
I really, really wanted it to echo the board's consensus feelings and put that into words. So i wanted as many members to leave a comment here, a short message to the team you wish to say, and I will add it to the final letter for them to read. You just make one with your name at the end like the rest have here.
I wanted to make sure everyone liked what it had to say before i sent it though. I tried hard to put our excitment and gratitude to them into it as well as encourage them in the way we have all been saying over the past weeks and months.
