The fact that Casey Anthony was the last person to have custody of her daughter, failed to report her missing (or dead) for 31 days, consistently lied once confronted, and the child was found dead and hidden, and she failed to tell what actually happened despite repeated opportunities to do so to her family, friends or law enforcement, (even when faced with the death penalty) was sufficient to find her guilty -- not necessarily of premeditated murder, but certainly all lesser charges. The duct tape and other forensic evidence provided additional, but not necessary, evidence.

The jury should be put on trial and given her punishment in her stead ~ since they absolved her all responsibility let them bear it.

Over on HLN, Nancy Grace spilled over into Dr. Drews show for an extra-long squawk session. The devil is dancing tonight! Grace proclaimed. One of her guests, Sue Moss, seemed to be on the verge of exploding her own eyeballs as she screamed, Weve been OJd!

how in the world do 12 people lose sight of the facts?

she was the last one with Casey
The body was found hidden
She is the child's primary care taker
She has never told the thurth to this day (que It wasnt me song)
She has the exact brand of duct tape in her house - a brand that is uncommon.
Take the above facts and add in her behavior during the time the child was dead....what additional evidence is needed???

This generation is completely lost about what is truth...i guess we really can't know anything or believe anything according to this jury...

how in the world do 12 people lose sight of the facts?

she was the last one with Casey   - you mean the last one seen?
The body was found hidden - doesnt point directly to anybody
She is the girls primary care taker - meaningless
She has never told the thurth to this day (que It wasnt me song) - being a liar doesnt make her a murderer
She has the exact brand of duct tape in her house - a brand that is uncommon. - hardly conclusive - that could mean that the person who did it was just in her house?

Take the above facts and add in her behavior during the time the child was dead....what additional evidence is needed???
Eh - how the child died?

circumstantial evidence is as good or better than direct evidence sir!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is no reason to be prejudiced against evidence simply because it is circumstantial evidence. You make decisions on the basis of circumstantial evidence in the everyday affairs of life. There is no reason why decisions based on circumstantial evidence should not be made in the courtroom. In fact, proof by circumstantial evidence may be as conclusive as would be the testimony of witnesses speaking on the basis of their own observation. Circumstantial evidence, therefore, is offered to prove a certain fact from which you are asked to infer the existence of another fact or set of facts. Before you decide that a fact has been proved by circumstantial evidence, you must consider all of the evidence in light of reason, experience and common sense.

just because there was no eye witness she can't be convicted?
You dont HAVE to have direct evidence to convict - we ALL (most of us anyway) KNOW she is guilty...

There are the university professor types (see Fitz66 posts) who think they know we cannot know a single thing without a series of scientific studies and video tape evidence...that is just absurd.
There is NOTHING wrong with circumstantial evidence...sometimes it is BETTER than direct evidence.

Wrong board, and using the "Guilty, now let's prove Guilty" mentality. Did she have something to do with it? Almost certainly. Did others have something to do with it? Almost certainly. Did Casey Anthony kill her daughter? Unknown.

How is anything better, in a murder case, than direct evidence?

Your post proves this point.
What I mean by this - everyone has an opinion. Eyewitness observation comes with the opinion of the person sometimes. Sometimes simply having facts- when there are so many facts acting in unison- it is enough to go with and remove opinions of people with absurd viewpoints - such as yourself. You would have found her not guilty as well...looking past all the circumstantial evidence - which I find completely damning. Absolutely damning...without any doubt.

So you would've convicted her on what?  The fact taht she was the primary care taker?

She was a pis poor mother - thats for darn sure.  If I had to guess, I'd say that she did it.  But that certainly isn't enough to put her to death .

And why are we, what, 2 weeks behind this story?

Thats your opinion.
I say there is enough evidence - even if there was no direct evidence - to put her to death.
