Roger Goodell is a slick guy. This whole press conference was all a ploy to put the pressure on the players to get a deal done. Basically the owners took a vote and passed it then got on tv and said yay football. Demaurice smith or any of the player reps for that matter even new about this press conference. Imagine the shock watching espn. Now the fans are looking at the players like sign it! Goodell is trying to back them in a corner. How long was he planning this? Do you think he is the one who even started the rumors about the deal getting done tonight?

The owners told the players all week they would vote today, and now the players are acting all suprised?

x2 - I think they're just trying to make their last stand to get a dollar here and a dollar there.

Yup, I'd understand where the players were coming from if they were given a bad deal. But this is MORE than fair and they still want more. I thought these jackasses just wanted to play football?

Right the owners have been saying that but when the players met yesterday they had no actual document to read and agree to. The owners had that. Also the owners agreed to a supplemental revenue share but it was never even proposed to the players. The analyst on espn are explaining it real good. Check it out.

Its the nfl who wants you to think the cba is done and the players have nothing more to do then agree to it. Trey wingo mortenson adam schefter and the guys were all suprised by what they called a negotiation ploy that was intended to shift all the public pressure to the players. The players arent shooting the deal down they just havent even had the chance to review the deal before goodell and jerry richardson are on tv smiling proclaiming training camp starts saturday

You have to be a flippin' retard to believe that, full offense to you and anyone you believes that. Like the owners just voted on some random scratching on a napkin? Oh wait, they had something to vote on and you think they drew it up all on their own with no feedback from the players? You think that during these negotiations they didn't have documents? Right. This is someone not having his ducks in a row. Goodell got his guys to make the deal now Smith needs to get his band of morons to pony up.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

Goodell was talking to DeSmith all day, I doubt he kept this a secret from him. The players knew the owners were going to vote and likely agree to this and now they are crying foul. That turd Geno Hayes is rambling on twitter being an idiot too, sick of these players.

Was he not in a room with Goodell or weeks and months before that?
