He's retiring from Congress, not the Presidential race.  He's still running.

What Biggs said, hes retiring from Congress. He said he is going to focus all his energy into winning the presidency. Unfortunately I think Joe is right, he probably wont win the nomination anyways. He could win every primary and still not get in because the Republican nominating commitee has the final say. I think I know what their decision would be. Even if he got elected do you really think the powers that be would even let him literally see the light of day? Of course as always it will end up being a   lone nutjob that the public will buy every word of it being.

Splitting the vote doesn't mean much. If BHO has a slight lead in NY, Ca, MI, Pa, and a few other high pop states, that's what matters.
