Exactly. Nnamdi knows he's only got a few years of elite play left. We won't be serious contenders for at least two more years, and that's optimistic.

I think your missing the point.  It wasn't about the money.  Namdi wanted to go to a team that was competing for a Super Bowl.  The Bucs are an up and coming team but any Superbowl dreams are a couple years away.

This. If we made him an offer of 12 million or more I'd have absolutely no complaints. It's the fact that we didn't try at all that pisses me off, because if we did, who knows? Asomugha might not have viewed us as immediate contenders, but he's intelligent enough to realize how incredibly young and talented we are and that we're probably only a year or two away.
