If the Lions get Tulloch for roughly the same amount of money would you trade Tulloch for Black? Most would agree that Tulloch is better. And Weddle is considered a much better safety than Black is an LB. We don't really need a safety.

He's Past upside time. He is what he is. This staff has tried for 2 years to make him a playmaker and he failed miserably.

Bucs agreed to terms with SLB Quincy Black on a five-year, $29 million contract.
Black also receives $11.5 million in guarantees. Though not as much of a household name, Black was more valuable to Tampa Bay than MLB Barrett Ruud last season. Black was one of only three 4-3 outside linebackers to carry positive ratings in run stopping, pass rush, pass coverage and penalties in 2010, according to Pro Football Focus. With a vacancy at linebacker, the Bills could turn their attention to Ruud.

Agree with Z as well.  The kid is till developing and knows this system in and out.  Add to that he seems to be a hard worker and certainly not a trouble maker.  I like the signing personally.

I'm pretty happy with the numbers and the return of Black. He's a young, athletic player on the rise and hopefully part of the core that will take us to another SB win.

I'm not sold on him yet. I really haven't seen him do anything special. His play is mediocre at best. People are saying ,"why are you getting down on Black?" The question is, why do you guys like him so much?

That's true. Part of the CBA was to pay rookies less & veterans more. Rightfully so.
