It was ARTHROSCOPIC knee surgery. Minimally invasive. Not like the dude had 2 torn ACLs repaired. He was very productive last year.

I don't see the Bucs signing a guy who is on the downside of his career to come in and take away playing time from McKenzie and Foster, one of whom will be our MLB of the future. The Bucs aren't afraid of playing youngsters (and this has paid off for the Bucs), and they want to develop their young talent.

I'd be absolutely shocked if the Bucs signed Tatupu.

FYI, most ACL repairs are done arthroscopically.  That being said, I have found zero details on what his actual injury was.  Point being, I don't think any of us know what exactly is up with his knees.  I am sure teams will get to look at his medical records, but that may not be made public.  Might be worth a waiver claim.

I just can't imagine the mindset needed to want Tatupa over McKenzie and Foster. I persoanlly couldn't be more excited about our current MLB situation. I think Rah and Dom feel the same way.

Yes. He is scheduled to make $4.35M this year and they don't feel is is worth it. That says a lot. They probably like rookie KJ Wright better than him.

He was cut because the Seahawks overpaid for his butt. He hasn't been good in quite a few years now. I'm glad Tampa didn't give Ruud a new contract otherwise we'd be mirroring the Seahawks every step of the way.

Any interest?  I know we are going young in the front 7 but we could really use a vet presence there to set the tone.  Tatupu is a Pro Bowl caliber player(when healthy) that could really make a difference.
