Who does he think he is asking for that number?   Blasphemy.

I actually called this when he got drafted because I read that Brooks was his favorite player. lol I love Brooks, but I think certain numbers look better than others (shallow, I know) 51,52, 54, 55, 56...59 is not one of them. I really am warming up to this kid, after really wanting us to land Martez Wilson, Akeem Ayers, or Bruce Carter.

P.S.

Roy Miller should have offered to let DQ wear Gaines' old number.  Bowers future with our team (hopefully) >>>>>>>>>>>> Miller's lol

I like the way he asked for it and even better I like how Dom handled it.

\\\\\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\\\\\"

I believe that is the reason he was asking for the number in the first place.

He should have asked for 51 and made something out of that...

they gave that number to the punter already n told him we wouldnt notice a difference in aggressiveness

 8) LOL

however i do seem to remember Koenen nailing a punt return guy in one game. can't think when it was though

Due to the Head Coaching circumstances, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned back on. We appreciate your patience.

Retiring numbers is an outdated tradition imo.

some might be offended by this, but i admire his balls.

Interesting choice of words...... but i too appreciate his moxie. Like him even more now. I just wonder what Brooks' response would have been.

The guy didn't ask Dom for the #, he asked for permission to talk to Brooks. Sounds like respect to me!!

I think that's because those who deserve it these days are few and far in between.

I just hope we get someone at that MLB position with big time attitude. If this guy fits the bill, more power to him.

Gotta admire the kid's spunk to wanna be Brooks's successor and carry on his legacy. Also gotta admire the fact that Dom told him no, but in the sense that Foster should make his OWN legend which is what I've said all along. 8)
