49ers traded S Taylor Mays to Bengals for an undisclosed draft pick.

Interesting move by the Bengals.

It is?  The Bengholes are already a bad team...they might have made themselves even WORSE, if possible.  Mays sucks.

Interesting in that if Mays didn't work out in SF, what makes the Bengals think he'll work out in Cincy. But, stranger things have happened.

Another stellar move by the Bungals. (sarcasm)

Can he catch? I'd make him a TE. ::)

Nope the only thing he can do is run really fast in a straight direction. Pretty much the definition of workout warrior

The AFC North is still a pound it out division, and probably the only place you can justify an oversized linebacker that is a liablity in coverage ala Roy Williams.

I'm hearing rumors that the Bengals' undisclosed draft pick for Mays was actually a 2nd.....if this is true someone needs to put Mike Brown in an old folks home and take away his rights to running a the team.

Mays is probably one hell of a gunner.

The 49ers have quietly put together a good off season.  A 4th for Mays?  Ski mask robbery.

If they gave up a 2nd for him he has def lost his mind. That is highway robbers for the 49ers.

Taylor Mays is unbelievably bad. He can't cover in any way, takes terrible angles, has no ball skills and he is awful in run support. He is just big for his position and can run fast. Thats it.

These are my concerns about Schiano. He thinks hes the **CENSORED**, when really he is someone who couldn\'t win the Big East once in 10 years.

I said it before and I\'ll say it again, Josh Freeman is the only thing that can save this franchise from this dude. If he doesn\'t adjust his style AND Freeman cant win enough, we\'re going to be wondering who the next coach is going to be in 2 years.

If you knew better, you would have never typed that.  The Bungholes FO seldom lets a player go without fulfilling his contract.  They are run by a dinosaur samurai.  All honor, about to go extinct.

The Bungholes wanted to keep Palmer as their starter for as long as his contract was viable, in an effort to tutelage the fire crotched QB they drafted (which was basically slapping Carson in the face).  I am glad Palmer retired.  After next year, he will go out with\a fresh body (he was beat up last year) and get signed by a team in the hunt for a playoff spot.  Who knows...maybe San Fran will nab him afterall.  He is a USC product.
