That's why I said challenging. And it would put more emphasis on the kicker, as with XP, it's almost a given that they will make it. If you move it out, it becomes less likely for them to make it but when they do it will be exciting and a great feat (no pun intended) of athleticism. More skilled kickers mean that teams are more likely to go up 1 point over another team, making a kicker well....important.

There's a difference between "challenging", and "impossible"...  You did see the 52 & 62 yard portion of the post, right?

You're right there is a difference.  But 62 yds is far from impossible and as a Bucs fan you should know that. Regardless, you're arguing a point that is easily changed. Make it from 30 or 35 if you believe it's "impossible" from beyond that, the point is the same though.

"Far from impossible"...?   You DO realize there have been less than NINE 60-yarders EVER made, right?  It's about making the game more exciting, not finding the cure for cancer.

You also realize that a ball spotted on the 35 yard line equates to a 52 yard fieldgoal, right?

Right?

Ok, the 45 would probably work too. Part of my agenda here is to KO returns back in the game. Even if the kicker doesn't reach the goalposts, just reaching the endzone would be worth a point, so long as the receiving team does not return it. This would add some needed competition to the extra point try, as well as get KO's back as part of the NFL game.

Right?

You do know the definition of the word impossible, right?

Right?

It means not possible. As in never. As in 0%. Not every now and then. Not once in a blue moon. NOT possible.
If it has happened 9 times, it can't be impossible. You're still focused on the numbers and not the actual point of it.

Okay.........  You're right..............  I just can't dumb tonight.

Instead of discussing how to make the PAT a more exciting process, let's devise a system that will make one more rare than the total eclipse of then.

Shine on you crazy diamond...
