As the title says, I went a little different this year and created an auction league. If you join' I suggest you do a couple mock drafts to kind of get the gist of how this works. I believe it to be a better system as EVERYBODY has a shot at every player. It's all in the matter of how much you're willing to spend.

Your draft strategy will play a huge role in how your team is compiled. If you throw all your bones towards a couple players you're left with whatever you can scour from the waiver wires. It can be very competitive and VERY VERY fun to watch people over pay for players, that you helped drive the market up for.

Like I said, I suggest trying a mock draft in this format. I personally think it's a lot funner, You're given a limit of 200 dollars to spend towards players. It gets pretty intense in the bidding wars.

I just like the fact that this format give everybody a chance at any given player. It's all in how you budget your guys, you could be out within the first couple guys if you don't manage your budget properly...

Draft preparation can be a stressful exercise, and judging by the frequency with which it is asked, this question exemplifies a key stress:

What is the worst draft position to have?

We, fantasy owners as a whole, sweat it every year. We pray for the No. 1 pick in 2007, the season subsequent to LaDainian Tomlinson's setting the single-season record for fantasy points. Then we prefer the No. 4 pick in 2010, because we regard the top four running backs as interchangeable and would rather let someone else make those decisions and leave us the scraps. And, every year, death and taxes represent the only two fates worse than scoring the dreaded 10-spot … ironic because the harder we root against getting stuck there, the more it becomes as inevitable as, well, death and taxes.

Folks, there's a very simple answer to the question about draft position, an easy fix that will make that particular stress melt away.
