Patriots signed Jonathan Crompton to their PS.

Demar Dotson was placed on IR. This puts us in a bad spot with O-line depth. I'd say this is a rap for Dotson's career.

Patriots sign Brian Waters, but Gurode leaves with no contract.

WTF? Dotson on IR, didn't even know he got injured, again. But yeah, if he is IR, he is good as gone. Guess that one didn't work out either. Also explains why Lee even made the team, for now.

Waters and Gurode would have provided the team a 1-2 year stop-gap until the positions can be adequately filled.  Oh well...

Waters is reportedly 400lbs....so I say let the Pats have him. I'd be interested in Gurode though as a one year stop gap. That way he can take over when Faine gets hurt, and we know he will, so Zuttah can continue to play RG. Larsen looked really bad in preseason.

Where did you read that about Dotson?

IIRC, players can't be signed to the PS till after 4PM today.

JD, when I search the news, it said Sep 4th Dotson placed on IR, but that was 2010. Is it possible there is a mix up?

I was thinking this myself. It's on Rotoworld and they are usually very trust worthy....but I'm really hoping there was a mix up!

I think it is a mistake. I was just reading that Crompton was signed to the Patriots PS LAST YEAR. Sorry for the confusion. I'm gonna assume the Dotson news is from last year also....which is great!

Here is the link so you guys don't think I'm just makin stuff up. Like I said, they are usually very dependable.

yup, if you read it "The Bucs tried to spin him as a starting left tackle during Donald Penn's holdout, but that was never under serious consideration" it mentions the happenings of last year. Not that Dotson is a savior, but he is worlds better than Lee.

Yeah, that wasn't there earlier, nor was the info on Crompton which is a dead give away that it is from last year.

Sigh of relief. Not that Dotson is superman but we definitely don't need to lose any of the OL we kept. That would have left only James Lee as OT depth!

With our 10-6 record we are near the bottom of the totem in regards to winning out on trying to claim a player off of waivers.  It's going to be tough for Dom.  I cannot wait to see who we can get.  (Crossing fingers for Sutton lawl)

It's pretty much guaranteed that people here will freak the hell out when we lose out on guys...try and remember...Dom really has little to no control in the waiver wire.

It's Sunday?  :)

Who knew how good it would feel as a fan when we now know what it\'s like for our team to have a direction, an attitude, and dare I say an offense?.

Good time to be a Bucs fan.
