Boneheaded decision by Dominik to not go after him. By signing him we would have gotten a very good 3rd down back, not only that, we would have kept him away from the Saints. But no, we re-sign crap like Quincy Black and settle for garbage like Lumpkin and Bradford.

Sproles may have been the differene in a oouple of our losses - guess Dominik and the Glazerhousers weren't looking to spend money to get the Buc over the top just yet - they're expecting that in a few seasons when this core is ready for the big time.

That's the way I see it as well.   They aren't interested in trying to compete right now.   They want to wait a couple of more years before they try to make the playoffs.   Doesn't seem fair to the fans.

After that game, it's pretty obvious that Sproles is better than any back on the Bucs and would have been a huge weapon.

After that game

Was known before he put on a Saints uniform.  He was the steal of the offseason as soon as that contract was announced.  Good for him though, I don't believe for a second that he would be doing as well in Tampa as he is for NO.  The Chargers never figured out how to use him most effectively, no reason to believe that we would have.

Ya, the Bucs are better off with Lumpkin.   No need to sign good players because they don't know how to use them effectively...
