The undersized Larsen got smoked by the Lions' defensive line in the opener, giving up a whopping seven quarterback pressures, according to Pro Football Focus. Zuttah isn't likely to be a huge upgrade, but couldn't possibly be worse.

Yikes....I knew Larsen was bad, but didn't realize he was that bad. Hopefully Zuttah can at least plug in that hole for the season.

Why such loyalty to Faine?

Helluva question.

Larsen was gawd awful on Sunday.  I'd still like to see him given a shot at Center, since his size is smaller than what you would want in an NFL Guard.  He had some decent games last year, but the team vastly overrated his performance last season at LG.

That's his specialty.

I love #76. He's produced from the very beginning and gets better every year. Glad he's gonna be on the field.

From Buccaneers.com: http://www.buccaneers.com/team/roster/Jeremy-Zuttah/8b048f3c-9b36-4651-9c1e-5608a9e99cce

Became the third rookie in the last four years to start for the Buccaneers on the offensive line on opening day…Started his first four career games at right guard.

I agree with this. Zuttah played very well in the preseason. Good move.

I'm sick of the coach making excuses for poor performances.

I'm not one to take a Buccaneers.com article as an objective report on the play of a Buccaneer. If he produced from the very beginning, he wouldn't have been benched to begin with.

That said, aside with some problems snapping the ball in the shotgun, he played pretty well last year at C

What excuse was there? Larsen sucked so he was replaced.

\\\\\\\"...even if we win the SB not getting a few FAS with so many available was being pig headed and fanatical.\\\\\\\" - 4bucs

The excuse is that "he was playing with bum ankle". Larsen has NEVER been good.

Last year Blount got some major runs over left guard with Larson in there.  Larson also did a decent job at protection.

Maybe the ankle is more of a problem than Morris realized last Sunday.

Zuttah is better than an injury-hampered Larson, but when both are health, Larson was picked to start both last year and this year

Good deal is right!! Been saying this for weeks. Zuttah is a big upgrade over Larsen and faine.

Question is, if we could clone a line of Zuttah's, would the line be better? Somehow, I think so.

Hypothetical aside, Larson was suckage last week and Zuttah should've started the game to begin with.

Naismith was right about Revis. Everyone else is a dummy.
