Would love Martin in the 2nd. Really hoping Miller runs in the 4.2's and blows his stock up so he sneaks into the first and Martin falls into the second.

I think the Bengals will take a RB with their second 1st round pick. I'm praying it is Wilson or Miller.

I could also see the Patriots taking him at 31 or the Colts at 33.

Great to see JDub beating the drum for this guy. He's my favorite RB in this draft by far. I think with Martin you have a similar "floor" as with Richardson but not the elite potential. Doug Martin reminds me alot of Matt Forte. Unless we are really smitten with Richardson or we make a move for a big name NFL RB, I would take Martin at the top of the 2nd round.

I really like Doug Martin who's a complete back. I hope we get him with our 2nd rounder too. Richardson is talented but at #5  I wouldn't do it.

See, this is the thing that worries me about not taking Richardson. If we don't take him, I could see Seattle or some other sleeper team grab him if he doesn't get to the Bengals. The Bengals are most definitely going to pick a RB with one of those two 1st rounders. Then you have the Pats, Colts, Browns and Rams that could all use an extra RB at the end of the 1st/beginning of 2nd. We could be **CENSORED** out of luck if Richardson, Martin, Miller and Wilson are all gone by our 2nd rounder. So we better hope we signed Michael Bush in free agency if something like that happened. All 3 of Martin, Miller and Wilson are probably going to have great combines so I only see their stock going up from here.

I don't think da pats going to use their two 1st or 2nd on a running back.. They got two good young guys they drafted last yr. They be using their picks. On a CBs...SS...WRs and passrush..so I think martin will be ok when it come Pats..they got bigger needs

Doug Martin is Ray Rice like. He also reminds me of MoJo Drew. He doesnt have that 4.3 speed but he is a bit bigger.

He does compare to Bradshaw, but personally he reminds me a little more of Frank Gore.

I'm curious what makes you think that? Martin was obviously great, but he was almost 6ft and just over 200lbs. Totally different body types and running style imo. Is it just cause they share the same last name?

He reminds of Rice in his balance. Both Martin and Rice are the only players that I've seen get their legs taken out from underneath them but manage to use the hands and some part of the legs to get themselves back up when most people are assuming he's about to hit the ground. Very hard to explain what I'm talking about but I've seen Rice and Martin do it multiple times. Martin now weighs more than Rice, MJD, Bradshaw, and Gore. I also believe his 40 time will be in the 4.4s.

Similar running styles, not break away speed guys, tough inside runners, both had vision and shiftiness to their game and were are every down backs that are solid all around players with workman like characteristics - reliable substantial players that didn't wow one with numbers or pure athleticism but rather are simply stated just football players. Decent hands, solid third down pass protectors and keep the chain moving types.

Curtis Martin was around 5'10 1/2 and 215 pounds when he was drafted. Doug Martin is like 5'10 220 pounds so that is fairly close in my books, with Doug being a little shorter and heavier.

This one reminds of MJD. I especially like that it's late in the 4th and all tied up. Doug always seems to be clutch.
