Benn is a poor man's Blackmon. Wish Olson would just give the guy a chance...that being said if he's there he is an elite receiver. There are 2 other solid #1 receivers too, Alshon Jeffrey and Michael Floyd. I would prefer Floyd or Blackmon over Jeffrey. Floyd has a very good burst and is a big athletic guy. He's also a great blocker. When none of our receivers can get any separation at all it's time to look for a new number 1 (or, maybe more importantly, a new offensive coordinator) so I'm all for drafting a receiver early if the right one is there when we're on the clock. Help Freeman develop by any means necessary.

Who does Floyd play for?

Oh the ND kid...he looks like the real deal. Wouldn't be opposed to him even though I shy away from ND wideouts.

in a way Floyd reminds me of Dez Bryant. Tools to be a #1 in the league. I think a wideout would be a wasted pick. our coordinator wouldn't know how to use him

Actually I like the QB Wedden too...

That QB is seriously 28 years old.

If we draft him and we still have the exact same coaching staff next season we would probably ruin his career. We'd be running him on 3 yard checkdowns all game.

lol..yea or the same predictable 5 yard slant that nearly got MW leg tore off.

Until preseason, you stay classy Red Board.

Even if we somehow have a top 5 top 10 pick....if there is a dominant defender there....we need to take that defender....

Ryan Broyles will be available in the second third round and will easily become our best player on offense....we need to take this guy.

The New England Patriots began the season 5-5 the year unknown 2nd year QB Tom Brady led them to their first ever Superbowl Win. There's still hope.

I've seen the film and I don't like Floyd. He would be a major disappointment. I'm guessing he is a 2nd rounder, not a 1st.

Jeffery and Blackmon are the best two I have seen. The question is, do we need a better WR, or do we need a better QB?

WR was supposed to be a strength of this team going into the year, and now all the sudden they all suck?

If you ask me we need a Luck, or a Barkely more than we need a Blackmon, or a Jeffery. Has #5 used one pump fake all year?

I'll take Alshon Jeffery all day long. Blackmon is good too, but Jeffery is a freak.

Robert Woods is a pretty smooth WR as well.  I don't know if I'd put him over Blackmon or Jeffrey, but he'd definitely be over Floyd IMO.
