Hornets have a solid team, might get to the playoffs.
Rockets are dumb.
Lakers upgrade their weakness but create a whole new one with having no depth at the C or PF positions.

I'm happy for Paul he is one of the best PGs in the league, if not the best. He will get a well deserved ring.

LMAO NBA vetos the deal because it's not in the best interest of the league. But they let Wade, Bosh and James team up. In done with the NBA.

The Hornets situation is not like any other franchise. They are LEAGUE owned. Other teams paying their bills. Very unique situation. BTW, James, Bosh weren't traded, they were free agents. That's very different. BTW, in my opinion, Hornets got the best out of the deal. Lakers were the team screwed.

Magic traded Brandon Bass for Glen "Big Baby" Davis and used the amnesty clause to waive Gilbert Arenas.  Bass/Davis seems kind of a wash, but here's hoping they actually play Davis; never understood why they never played Bass more.

As for Gilbert, good riddance.

They still owe Gilbert $62 mil unless another team picks him up.

Brandon Roy has to retire due to injury.
Greg Oden gets injured again.
Feel bad for the Blazers they could have a championship-caliber team without the injuries.

I feel terrible for Brandon Roy, he was a classy player. He could have been one of the greats if not for his knee injuries.

Juwan Howard to Heat

if howard, curry, and battier are willing to accept role positions...might as well just give 'em the trophy.

Even then the Magic will be on the hook for the difference between Gil's contract and whatever another team offers him, which isn't going to be much knowing that Gil is going to make a lot of money anyway.  I'm glad they released him under the amnesty clause, but I hope it's for a purpose. I see no point in waiving him, and signing Davis (a guy on Dwight's list) if they are going to trade Dwight. I have to assume something is in the works, if not Davis' contract is too much and we're once again stuck with Duhon as our backup PG.

Other than being on Dwight's list, the Bass trade doesn't make much sense. Davis is a slight upgrade defensively but Bass is the superior offensive player and his contract is 2.5 million less per year.

Just not as awesome as CP3 and Dwight :)

Seriously, that would be the best PG/C duo the NBA has ever seen. It also would wreak havoc on Miami, as they have nothing but scraps at those positions.
I wouldn't call Mario Chalmers a scrap. He's not CP3 good but he had a decent Finals last season IIRC.

2 solid players for 2nd round pick, I'll take it.
