“It’s a play we saw all week in practice,” McCarthy said. “When they needed it, we knew they’d try the shake route. (Defensive coordinator Jerry Gray) had a great call and put me in a great situation to make the play.”

[Olson predictable??  Game planning to take advantage of a team's tendencies & weaknesses???  Now I'm totally confused.]

This is not the first team that has admitted they knew our offensive tendencies

..and again, teams study film and tendencies. If teams had no tendencies and didn't play to them there'd be no point in studying film now would there? The play was fine, Benn was open IIRC, but the decision was bad.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.
If you think Manziel is the best QB in this draft I can safely assume you are an idiot and will treat you as such.

I thought McCarthy looked awfully comfortable intercepting that route.  It went right to him.

Yeah it's getting ridiculous. The Olson pamphlet of plays must be on the Interweb.

Have we heard any Bucs players praising the coaching staff this year?

Not a surprise. Just like everyone knew what JJ was going to do when he was in.

He was, and would have had the 1st down.... assuming he catches the pass.

OK, now go back and watch this play : http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2011112706/2011/REG12/buccaneers@titans#menu=highlights&tab=recap

The link is "McCarthy closes it down". The Titans know the tendency alright but it is a the QB not the OC. Watch the coverage 100% ignore Benn who hooks up at about the 40 and there is no one within 5 yards of him in any direction BUT the MLB is under K2. If Freeman makes the right read there's nothing stopping Benn from crawling forward for a first down he's so open but Freeman makes the really, really bad throw.

You can pause the video at :13 and get a really clear look the the way the patterns worked.
