The Buccaneers entire organization and fan base is deeply sorry for firing you.  The team has had it's ups and downs under you, but we have taken your expertise for granted and would like to have you back.

If it will take a "financial apology" to get you back, our owners should be willing to listen to your demands.  We now understand that with the lowest payroll for several years now, you got the most out of your team.  If you do come back, at an increase salary, of course, we will spend money in free agency, but we will also continue to attemp to buld through the draft.

If enough people sign this petition, maybe the Pewterreport staff can touch base with Gruden or the Glazers.  Afterall, Gruden is probably our best bet as head coach then whoever else will be available or willing to come here for that matter.

Please forgive us Jon....

Time to move on about Gruden.

Dude has been getting $5 mill a year for doing another job.

For whatever reason that ship has sailed.  The amount of Gruden humping on here is pretty pathetic.  And this coming from a Gru supporter.

Please note that this is a petition to bring him back.  It is my understanding that judging by this post, you do not want him back, so I should clarify to the PR staff that this does not count as a signature...

Looking at the guys available.   The best head coach available right now is Jon Gruden.

Raheem Morris's failures shouldn't highlight Gruden's accomplishments.  The guy was a mediocre coach who rode Kiffin's legendary defenses.

Still better than Morris, though.

Right now I'd take a tackling dummy to coach over Morris.

The thing is, given the payroll and talent level to work with, Gruden did a pretty damn good job.  Can you imagine if Gruden was a coach for a big market team (i.e. Philly, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, New York)

We are not a big market team and we had a coach that about 28 other teams would love to have.   It's sickening.  If only we could go back in time...

He doesn't have to - the facts speak for themselves. Feel free to ignore them.

Move along....into the present.  Can't change the past.

Hey, right now, Morris is following Gruden's pattern of following a winning season with a losing one.  It's just that Morris started off with a losing one and Gruden started with a Super Bowl.

Gruden went 9-7 both of his last 2 seasons.   There goes your theory...

What facts?  What does Raheem Morris's ineptitude have to do with Jon Gruden?

You guys are suffering from selective memory.  The Gruden I remember was the only coach in the modern era to kick a field goal to avoid a shutout.  He couldn't get Galloway and Bryant on the field at the same time.  Over seven years, his teams failed to score an offensive touchdown in 16 games -- an entire season's worth of contests -- and thanks to Monte, we were a surprising 4-12 in those games.

The facts (and history) say that Gruden was an overrated offensive mind, and that if he had the money to spend on free agents, he probably would've blown it on the Terry Glenns or Lamont Jordans of the league.

... Again, better than Morris, though.

Blaze, when it comes to Gruden, you don't know what you are talking about.   You obviously listened to the media and read bucs.com too much rather than watching the games and forming your own educated opinions.
