Sherman's definitely behind Billick and Fisher for me.  I wouldn't hate it, but I wouldn't love it either.

Barf.

I can't understand why people dont like this hire.

He has everything we say we want.

-Consistant winner
-Disciplinary
-Offensive minded to improve Freeman
-Good organizational skills

My question to you is what else do you want in a HC?
not Who would be better than him? but  WHY would they be better than him? and What has shown you that they can be better than Sherman?

I don't think the Glazers will be letting that happen. And keep in mind, they were his coordinators during his final seasons with the Packers. He probably wouldn't want to go back to battle with them either.

Would not like it one bit. They were both losers.

I hope whomever they do hire, he truly is "the right candidate" and not simply someone who shares the same agent as the GM.

If that's who he wants lol and he gets the results he had in green bay lol then i would be alright with it lol. it's all about the staff that makes his job better lol. if he feels it's them lol who am i to second guess that lol especially if it leads to 5 straight playoff appearances lol.

I'm hoping Dominik is just being thorough.

This is an important hire for him.

Jeff Jagozinski was never his OC. He was a holdover TE coach from Ray Rhodes. I believe he was fired (or simply not re-upped) in 2003, went to Atlanta and came back when McCarthy arrived.

Bates was his coordinator for one season. Keep in mind that until quite recently, Bates had a stellar reputation as a DC. He did pretty fantastic work at Miami.

I knew bates had some success as a d coordinator. The personel on the field just did not fit the scheme when he was here

I'd prefer Marty Shottenheimer who's still coaching of by the way.  I'd look at Mark Trestman before Sherman as well.

"Despite receiving a contract extension earlier in the 2005 season, Sherman was fired by the Packers on January 2, 2006, after compiling a 4–12 record — Green Bay's first losing record since the 1991 season."  Well yes, but, then, reading between the lines . . .  "The Packers had lost pro bowlers Javon Walker, Bubba Franks and Ahman Green to Injured Reserve early in the season."

I'm starting to warm up on Sherman as well.

WCO can be a lot of things, it's only dink and dunk in the hands of limited OCs and untalented QBs.
