Why not Leavitt? Why Schiano?

I can't say I hate the idea of Schaino.  BB seems to think he will be a great NFL coach and that's a good enough endorsement for me.

Per Jason Lacanfora, "Rutgers coach Greg Schiano is under consideration for Bucs job. Mike Sherman had 2nd interview. Rob Chudzinski might as well"

Poop reports, "Jason LaCanfora of NFL Network is reporting Rutgers coach Greg Schiano is a finalist for Bucs HC job along with Sherman and Rob Chudzinski"

This search is an absolute circus.

Who do we have at the Senior Bowl doing our scouting?  Just Dom?

Schiano is a great college coach, and the kinda guy that players will go through a wall for, but as with any college hires, I'm going to look first, to the coordinators.
No matter who gets hired, if they're a college coach making the jump, I'm just as concerned about who he brings on to run the offense/defense, because with new coaches, it's often the supporting cast that strongly affects their success.

LaCanfora is probably just spreading out the rumor that WDAE started.  I doubt he has gotten additional info/this own report on his own...

Jenna Laine remains skeptical and suggests, "If Bucs are in fact interviewing Schiano, it may not necessarily be for HC position. Could be for coordinator since they'll prob choose staff"

What a dumb tweet by her...

No way in hell he would leave to become an NFL coordinator...

You have to wonder if Sherman will be his OC.  Schiano knows defense and sherman would give him some exp on the offensive side of the ball.  Not saying I love the move but the guy did build up a program at Rutgers that was literally bottom of the barrell into a respectable program and he comes with high praise from Darth Bill.
