I like to follow Jenna Laine quite a bit, she's been pretty busy early on. Some of her thoughts...

"I also wouldn't count out Brian Billick as someone who may be interested. He likes Josh Freeman a lot, but also wants control."

"After talking with players, becoming increasingly clear that Bucs need disciplinarian who won't allow some guys to bend rules. Also based on chats with some Bucs players...lost respect for some of the assistant coaches. Can't confirm which assistant it was. Guys wouldn't go so far to point fingers, but I've compared notes, have pretty good idea"

"Oh lordy...first @BucsCoachFisher, then @BucsBillCowher. Now @FishersMustache. You guys are a trip with these coaches you want"

"Blount will not flourish under the same head coach who cut him in Tennessee...I doubt Fisher would keep him around"

I'm all for getting rid of Blount in a heartbeat.

If Jeff Fisher is hired, I might consider growing a mustache again -

Good article on Gray surfaced.
http://espn.go.com/blog/afcsouth/post/_/id/32822/if-the-titans-lost-jerry-gray

"If the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hire Jerry Gray as their next head coach, Mike Munchak will be in a real jam. "

Rick Stroud reports, "The Bucs plan to interview Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey"
http://www.tampabay.com/sports/football/bucs/article1208930.ece

From the above link...

Per TampaBayTimes.com:
Quote
Tampa Bay Buccaneers will interview former Green Bay Packers, Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman
By Rick Stroud, Times Staff Writer
In Print: Wednesday, January 4, 2012

TAMPA The last time former Green Bay Packers and Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman made headlines in Tampa Bay, he was going after Warren Sapp, angry about the Bucs defensive tackle's hit that injured offensive lineman Chad Clifton far away from an interception return.

As Sherman approached Sapp on the sideline after the game, the Bucs defensive tackle bellowed, "If you're so tough, put a jersey on!"

Sherman, 57, will be returning to Tampa Bay soon hoping to wear a headset for the Bucs.

Sherman confirmed Tuesday he has been contacted by the Bucs but declined further comment. An interview is being scheduled, Sherman said.

"I prefer not to make any comment about that just yet," Sherman said Tuesday when reached by the Times. "I hope you understand."

One day after the team fired coach Raheem Morris and his staff, the Bucs' candidate list began to take shape.

Co-chairman Joel Glazer said Monday the Bucs would not pigeonhole candidates, which includes NFL coordinators and college coaches.

"It's easy to say you want a leader with discipline and all these different things," Glazer said. "But I'm not going to characterize it one way or another. We want a person who we feel will represent this team well, represent community well and get our players progressing.

"I'm not going to put any artificial deadlines on this. We're going to talk to people until we find the right person and when we find the right person and there's the right chemistry and the right belief on what that person stands for, for this franchise and working relationships with the general manager and everyone in the organization, that's when we'll make the decision."

While it might be a level playing field, several intriguing candidates have NFL head coaching experience.

Former Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher interviewed Tuesday with the Miami Dolphins, and the Bucs are working with Fisher on scheduling an interview, perhaps this week. Fisher is also considered a strong candidate for the St. Louis Rams.

The Bucs plan to interview Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey, who has been instrumental in developing quarterback Matt Ryan. Mularkey began his coaching career in Tampa Bay in 1992 as an offensive quality control assistant under Sam Wyche. He was the Buffalo Bills head coach from 2004-05, resigning with a 14-18 record.

The Jacksonville Jaguars received permission to interview Mularkey, whose focus is preparing for a playoff game against the Giants.

Tennessee defensive coordinator Jerry Gray is also on the Bucs' list, but the team had not formally asked for permission from the Titans. Gray played with the Bucs in '93 and worked under Fisher in Tennessee.

In six seasons with the Packers, with Brett Favre in his prime at quarterback, Sherman went 57-39 and won three NFC North titles. He was fired in 2005 after the Packers went 4-12, their first losing season since 1991.

Sherman was 25-25 in four seasons at Texas A&M, with two bowl appearances. He is an offensive play-caller who spent two seasons with the Houston Texans before joining the Aggies. He was offensive coordinator his last season with the Texans.

An experienced playcaller could be a boost for quarterback Josh Freeman, who struggled last season with 16 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. In 2010, he threw 25 touchdowns and six interceptions. The Bucs committed 40 turnovers this season.

Before they parted ways Jan. 27, Fisher was the NFL's longest tenured coach, spending nearly 17 seasons with the Houston Oilers/Titans organization. Fisher went 142-120 (.542), winning four division titles and appearing in the playoffs six times. He's 5-6 in the playoffs, with a Super Bowl trip in the 1999 season, when the Titans lost to the Rams 23-16.

Per Roy Cummings, "Falcons OC Mike Mularkey says he has "not'' talked to the Bucs. Doesn't mean he won't. He can't now anyway."

Transcript from Stephen Holder's chat session,

In reference to assistants falling out of favor by the players,
I don't know specifically what you're referring to, but there were obviously some past arrests of staff members, mostly for DUIs. I don't want to speculate, so I'll just leave it at that.

In reference to Mike Tice being a candidate,
"First I've heard of that name as it relates to the Bucs. I don't think he's really on the radar. "

In reference to Derrick Brooks considering a coaching role,
I don't know that Brooks wants the job.

In reference to any assistants rejoining the team in 2012,
Well, I think that's a long shot right now because the whole staff was fired. But I know a couple of defensive lineman told me they'd like to had the chance to stay with Millard. That's the one guy I wondered about. Yarber is a good guy and gets through to his WRs but their performance this year was subpar as a group.

In reference to Rich Bisaccia as a candidate,
He very much wants to be a head coach. Will it happen here? I don't personally think so. He was passed over when Raheem got the job, remember.

In reference to Brian Billick as a candidate,
I haven't heard that. Interesting about Billick is he's been out there for several years and no one has bit. Why? I don't know. But there's something about him that must be unappealing.

In reference to Chip Kelly as a candidate,
"I don't know right now, but college coaches are being considered and they're open to hiring one."

If Dominik would be more aggressive this time around,
"I think it's pretty clear they're going to be more active in free agency. Agree or disagree, he's maintained that this class would be better than last year and I think he's been looking ahead to that. So, we'll see, but I think they'll be more aggressive. Whatever they do, they MUST do a better job of hiring coordinators than last time. The Jagodzinski and Bates experiment is a stain on Dominik's resume' and he needs to let his coach hire the coordinators this time around IMO."

On Barrett Ruud returning to Tampa,
"It's certainly possible. Likely? I don't know. Dominik is still the general manager and he is basically the reason Barrett's not here. So I wouldn't bank on it."

On his thoughts about Russ Grimm being Tampa's next coach,
"I've been asked about Grimm and I think he's interesting. Thing is, like Billick, he's been passed over a few times. Even the STEELERS passed him over when Cowher left and went outside the organization (Mike Tomlin). Just wonder why that is. "

When asked, Does Quincy Black walk around the locker room like he stole something?
"I'm not touching that one, dude"

On players possibly receiving special treatment,
"I've heard rumblings about some of this. The problem I think is that because there was a lack of depth, there was a lack of consequences. In other words, if you, say, bench a starter, who's replacing him? A practice squader?"

On Mark Dominik and Mike Sherman sharing the same agent and it being a factor,
"Probably a small factor. Hell, Jeff Fisher's agent is the father of the Rams' president (Kevin Demoff) and still his first interview was with the Dolphins. "

On Mike Zimmer (Bengals DC),
"I have not heard his name associated with the Bucs, but he is highly thought of in NFL circles and I think is a very solid defensive coach as he proved this year in Cincy. "

What is this about? Is it a joke, or am I missing a reference to something?

The question was a little hard for Holder to answer, more of a joke. A few questions following this one were pretty funny too, including one poster named, "Ruud" who asked, "Do you miss me?"
