As of right now, no.  No real "Franchise QB" has ever regressed the way Freeman did.  You can make an argument all you want about his numbers last year, but the numbers of this year are a bigger indication that last year was a fluke and a product of the extremely soft schedule.  I do think we need 1 more year to be sure, but as of right now, I say no with the inclination that we'll still be saying "no" next year at this time as well.

No. He still has to prove it. A new HC and some more talent can help him out but he's gotta do it himself most of all. He's got the biggest offseason of his career so far coming up. Hopefully he turns it around and proves he is a franchise qb.

Honestly, I'm leaning towards the side of offering picks 5 and 36 this year plus next years 1st for the #1 pick and take Luck... I'll even throw in Freeman, Talib, and Jackson.

The collapse around him was really unusual, I don't think I ever saw such a train wreck.  And eve the biggest homers have to see the incredibly bad coaching going on all over this team. Van Pelt was a very inexperienced coach as well.  When the team wasn't in freefall he did very well.  There isn't any doubt he has things he can improve, but there is also little doubt he can do well.  I'd say that the odds are on his side, but he really needs a good QB coach and an OC with a clue to undo some of the damage our prior clowns did to him.  He also needs better protection from the line, it needs a complete overhaul.  I honestly wouldn't be upset to see five new guys there next year, the only one that might be worth keeping is penn, only because that spot is very hard to fill.

I don't think we can know until he gets some help. He has NOTHING to work with now, and that's not his fault.

its usually the QB causing the HC to fall.  Just saying.  Don't have the football knowledge or resources to analyse what happened so I really can't say for sure.

like it or not Franchise QBs are expected to WIN you games.  Freeman didn't.  How anyone could say he is definitely a "franchise QB" is beyond me.  He's still nothing more than a potential franchise QB and one more bad season like this and he'll probably get written off.

If by franchisee qb you mean, "it's all about 5", then no...Bucs will make a mistake continuing down that road.

I'm still a believer in him. I'd been more concerned with him this season if the whole team didn't take a step back. He has a strong arm but the play calling didn't give him a chance to go down the field. After week 1 there was concern with the style of offense being played.
