Again....17 seasons as a HC and only 5 playoff appearances.  No way....in what planet is that a good track record, and some ppl are acting if landing him would be like winning the lottery.

He helmed a team into the Super Bowl and the NFL post-seasons. I'm not sure what coach that is currently looking for work has that resume - other than Mike Sherman who no one seems to like either.

Again, at least he has proven to put competitive teams on the field. He only had 3 really bad seasons in his tenure. His teams were VERY competitive with a sound defense, right now taking a guy with a track record like that over an unproven guy is the way to go.

Ppl have mentioned Billick....is like him much much better.  With that being said, I'm not too high on any of the candidates being tossed around these boards.  The glazers  need to exceed our expectations...find a way to bring the Tuna to Tampa, convince Jimmy Johnson that the warm weather will do wonders for his tan...do something that over delivers on our expectations for once.
