Lombardi mentioned that MD will search far and wide for the HC position but only mentioned one name....Mike Zimmer.  I hope that is just not his opinion but is what he is hearing from reliable sources as he would be a great fit.  He mentioned that the Bucs need to get tougher.

Definetly like it. However I really think NO ONE has any clue who the Glazers are really eyeing so everyone is just throwing names out hoping something sticks. That being said Zimmer would be a great lucky guess!

Don't understand the hype for Zimmer. Someone should shed light. I see he got the Bengals defense playing well but still. I'm not impressed.

Bengals players love playing for him. He turned a bunch of undisciplined young players with potential into a productive defense. Does the former sound a lot like our team? I think so!  He no pushover either. He commands respect. I think he'd be a great hire ASSUMING we could bring a good offensive coordinator in with him as we cant let Freeman rot away without progressing.

Lets hope the Bucs like him as much as we do.  Bucs need to get back to the days where people feared the defense.  Zimmer has to like some of young talent we have on defense but also can hand-pick the LBs and Secondary for the future. 

Yes, he hasnt been a head coach but he has been around enough quality ones to know how to run a team.  He is beloved in Cincy but with his wife passing away, he might relish the opportunity to start fresh in a new town full of cougars!

I wasn't really on the side of hiring coordinators but Mike Zimmer has now made the list. Hopefully he can lure Reggie Nelson over this way with him! :D
