Stafford thew 13 TDS against 20 Int his rookie campaign, so again he has had one good year, although VERY good, still just one year, much like Freeman.

the difference is that Stafford's great year was THIS year.   Freeman is washed up already, but Stafford is just getting started.

Just a little dose of reality. When the Lions were down by 2 scores or more Stafford (as Freeman saw all year) Stafford threw two picks, even with his talented supporting cast. Makes you wonder what it would be like if he and Freeman switched spots. That's the biggest difference between the two of them. Unless of course you are blinded with hate for Morris, Domink and Freeman. Then you are what you are. :P

1-10-DET 33
(3:13) (Shotgun) 9-M.Stafford pass deep right intended for 13-N.Burleson INTERCEPTED by 33-J.Greer at 50. 33-J.Greer to DET 33 for 17 yards (13-N.Burleson).

That first interception was the right read.  The only reason it got picked off was because the RT allowed his man to beat him and Stafford was not able to step up in the pocket and lead his man, instead  he was forced to rush his throw and throw it off his back foot.  Had he been given 1 more second, that would have been a big play and possibly a TD... assuming Young catches the ball.

So is that a bad decision? He tried to force it when he didn't have time.  And for the record, the "right read" is highly subjective and suspect. Greer had tight coverage and it wasn't CJ.

He didn't try to force anything, Young had at least 1 full step on the defender, maybe 2, it wasn't tight coverage.  In football terms, he was wide open.  If you want to call it a bad decision, go ahead, but every single QB in the NFL has done that more than once and will continue, so to call out Stafford for that and implying that Freeman wouldn't or hasn't doesn't done the same is rather hypocritical.

If you look at the video on NFL.com, you will see that the receiver did not have a step on Greer. My point, which you missed, is that when Stafford was put in the situation Freeman was in all year, you got similar results.

Wow....pretty funny.  The thread is textbook homerism or myopia.  I love Freeman and think we need to stick with him long term but if any joker thinks he's better than Stafford should see a neurologist.  WHAT is the reasoning outside of he's our QB?

Even if we take Freeman's BEST season it isn't close.....my gawd ppl.....
