Per Rotoworld:

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Marty Schottenheimer, Brad Childress, Mike Zimmer and Wade Phillips are among the names the Bucs are interested in for their head-coaching vacancy.
Aside from Zimmer, each has extensive head-coaching experience, a sign the Bucs are looking to hire the anti-Raheem Morris. Morris had never been a head coach before his hiring in 2009, and had never even coordinated a defense at the NFL level. Schottenheimer has not coached in the NFL since 2006, while Childress and Phillips were both fired mid-season in 2010.

Edit: More details...

Bucs clearly want seasoned coach to replace Morris; Mike Sherman, Brad Childress (interview Mon), Wade Phillips & Mike Zimmer r candidates

mortreport Chris Mortensen
Marty Schottenheimer is on Bucs' radar but not at top; he is hungry to coach. Note that Marv Levy went to his 4th Super Bowl at age 68.

(Marty is also 68...)

My instincts tell me it will be down to Schotty or Sherman.

It's Marty time... Childress??? What the hell could he say in an interview to make you believe he's the right guy?

I think people would be more open to Schotty as the next HC than Sherman but I think it is a two horse race between these two.

At least we have expanded our search to include some additional coaches with experience and success in the NFL

I would like a coach that is in touch with reality. That can identify the fact that there is a significant lack of talent on this team. Something tells me Dominik wants to hear that our guys are good but need some coaching.

I'm good with Marty, especially over Childress and Sherman.

Why do you necessarily have to be wrong just because a few million people think you are?

If it's Childress or Phillips I'm gonna kill someone.
Why would you have either on the list?

I really want Marty to come in, build a real staff and get the team to the level all his others were at.
I don't care if it's just a short term, 3 year relationship.
We need a proven guy to get us on the right path and if it's done right his replacement should be on the staff ready to take over.

Depending on the coords brought in I'm ok with either but I would much prefer Marty over Sherman if it came down to the two. Wonder if lil Schott would follow daddy here since his time in NY seems to be over?  Let Marty right the ship then hand the reigns over to his son after a few seasons.

On Mort's Twitter, he says Marty is on the radar, but not in the lead. But like I posted a couple minutes ago....

Shotty is better than Sherman, but why no Billick still?
