RT @Bigkat8956: I missed who you said as Marty's choice at OC >> On @NFL32, I said Todd Haley high on list. Some intrigue by both guys.

\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\"

I doubt Clayton or anyone for that matter knows what the Bucs are doing. The Glazers and Dominik are not letting any info out.

He was pretty damn good. If I recall he had a nice WR duo and Super Bowl appearance. Their offenses were pretty solid and put up more points than we have.

Nobody outside of the Glazers and Dominik know who the leading candidate is. These national media pundits are all speculating.

DTG, do you think Wade backing out changes anything? Would he have been a strong candidate? Does this alter the rankings in any way?

Really? I think Haley is pretty impressive.

Lost starting RB and starting QB and still finished 7-9? Made the playoffs last year?

I'd like to have him here for sure

The three Glazer boys are the ones that will ultimately pick the coach. And that is a tough inner circle to crack. I doubt any media has a source close to them that's going to squeal. Dominik will have input, but this wont be his choice.

Dungy was the third choice when they hired him. Gruden was the 2nd choice when they hired/traded for him. Gruden's firing was also a shock. People thought it COULD happen, but no one saw that coming.

The trade with Winslow was also done, stamped, and delivered before anyone had a clue.

So they do have a history of keeping things like this very close to the chest.

I don't have an open pipeline into the minds of the Glazers during this process, so I can only answer with my own POV. Since I believe that the Glazers are looking for a disciplinarian type, I don't believe that this changes anything, because I know that they're aware that Wade is not considered a disciplinarian.

+1..as would I.

Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.

Have you heard what players have been saying about Haley? Haley also was responsible for Charlie Weiss going back to college.
