Stroud also questioned Team Glazer’s willingness to spend money, just a week after Team Glazer said they’ll spend “whatever it takes.”

“Let’s not ignore the elephant in the room. What kind of salaries are [the hot candidates leaguewide] going to ask for?” Stroud asked, implying that the older veteran coaches will take less money to get another shot at head coaching.

Stroud also said Jeff Fisher wasn’t interested in the Bucs job, in part, because the Bucs wouldn’t spend freely.

His reasoning behind his theory makes little sense.

another quote from the same article...

“You had a young coach, never been a head coach, yungry guy, relates to players, you know, and when you don’t win that means you’re not disciplined."

does anyone think we were disciplined???

the whole article is worthless with quotes like that.

I agree. I think even the Glazers realize that they have to spend some cash this year and they've spent money in the past. With the ManU debt basically behind them, I think this is the year that they will spend money on coaching and players.

Stroud hurts his credibility with comments like that. This team and staff were incredibly undisciplined. Even the most casual fan could see that.

I think Stroud sometimes purposely plays the role of antagonist.

Let's see. When we hired a young HC it was because he would be cheap wanting his first shot. Now that we're looking at a seasoned coach it's because a old coach would be cheap to get another shot. Who knows if the Glazers are going to spend but I'm quite sure Stroud is throwing **CENSORED** against the wall hoping some of it will stick.

Look at Java, every now and then you get one right.

Younger upstarts cost less (eg. Raheem) thus older coaches expect more in salary.

They could really lose the cheap label if they spend a little in free agency.

THE GLAZERS ARE CHEAPEST FOR LAST 8 YEARS.

ACCEPT REALITY.

It\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s about building a base, being physical, and restoring pride. It\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s time for the Bucs to return to being FEARED.

Pro sport teams in America are one of the few businesses in world with the luxury of being able to successfully blame their customers rather than doing anything drastic to improve their product,

Nobody wants to be right about having the cheapest owners.

8 years in the books. Can't be changed.

Will they be cheap for another year? History shows that it is very likely.

Everything else is hoping.
