Above all else, Heckert said he is convinced he did the right thing by making that mega-deal with the Atlanta Falcons on draft day in April.

Essentially, Heckert passed up receiver Julio Jones and wound up with defensive tackle Phil Taylor, receiver Greg Little, fullback Owen Marecic and Atlanta's first- and sixth-round picks in the coming draft. Heckert also gave up his third-round pick to move up and select Taylor at No. 21 overall.

"I'd do it again tomorrow," Heckert said. "And Julio's a great player. We love Julio Jones. That never was an issue. Now, obviously we have to do something with the picks (we got)."

"If we think we can get the same guy by moving down a few spots getting an extra pick or picks, why not do that?"
-Browns GM Tom Heckert

This space for rent....*sigh* I trusted you coach.

I wonder who they are looking at if they think they can move down and get the same guy?

If Blackmon or RGIII falls to them, I wouldn't chance it for extra picks.  They need talent, very much like we do

Falls?   There's a good chance that both of those guys will be there at #4 even without falling.

Well according to those "experts". RG3 stock is on the same level as Luck now and they could see someone trading up to #2 for him. The Browns need a QB and I don't see why RG3 wouldn't be the guy. Obvious smokescreens by them.

I'm gonna say they're either looking at the RB, WR or LB position (since they're probably losing D'Qwell in free agency). So if they look to trade back a few spots I'd say it's either for Richardson (who could definitely drop to 12 to Seattle if we don't pick him), Michael Floyd/Alshon or Kuechly/Hightower.

RG3 is there guy. They have another first rounder they can use to pick a LBer. They also have an extra 4th rounder.

Highly doubt it. If they can't get RG3 without giving up picks I would go hard after Flynn if I was the Browns. I think that's what they should do anyway. They could come out of this draft with Richardson and Alshon plus get Flynn in free agency. They already have a really good o-line and a defense that has potential to be really, really good. The Browns could make a QUICK turnaround if they make the right moves.

That OL still has holes at RG and RT. Richardson would make sense if they wanna go to the power running game route. But they already have a 2nd round RB on the team from 2 years ago.

It wouldnt shock me if the Colts took RG3 with first overall.
