Saban's contract details...
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4431228

He'll go to $4.1 million in 2010 and is scheduled to make $4.2 million in each of the final three years of that deal (2012, 2013 and 2014).

There has to be bonuses on top of that for winning the SEC(didnt do), beating Auburn, and Winning the National Championship.  Hell the NC game should get him an extra 2 million alone, that was an ass kicking.

I'd rather have Lou Saban, God rest his soul.

Ira: Can't find anyone to confirm that Mike Sherman had a second interview with the Buccaneers on Wednesday. Sherman could be a smokescreen.

Something is happening.

As someone who lacks knowledge and experience on posting on message boards, and who has even less knowledge and experience in the hiring of an NFL head coach …my best guess says they might have been waiting to interview Perry Fewell, the NY Giants D Coordinator.  Maybe the Giants finally allow an interview this week because of the extra week to prepare for the Super Bowl.  Not a big splash, but has been effective down the stretch with the D.  Just a thought.

Fewell has already been linked to the Bucs, so that wouldn't be a mystery.

Another mystery candidate?? The Ninja Glazers are at it again. I even managed to get a pic of them before they left Tampa.

You know, it's funny. After they failed to get Kelly I was wondering if they'd take a run at the Nicktator. He'd certainly kick some asses at One Buc Palace...I just think if Saban's the guy, Dom's ego is going to take a major hit because no one but the Glazers will be higher than the Nicktator.

Yeah, this particular contact is NY-based. Glad it turned out that he was plugged in on this one. He's been a very reliable source.
