Adding another mediocre WR to the 4-5 we already have...sure, why not...might as well stock the shelves with those guys..

Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.

I'm not a fan of Parker. But Amendola averages 8.0 YPC for his career. Not exactly an asset.

Bucs need help at converting 3rd downs. They were among the league's worst.

He would help in that regard.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/downs/seasontype/2

Tampa Bay:  16th in 3rd down conversion percentage
St. Louis:  32nd in 3rd down conversion percentage

Good call.

That's because amendola was in IR.

Yea I don't see Danny Amendola making us a threat to defenses if he was on our team. Freeman is in need of big help, not just a little help. If the offense was kind of good but the receiving core was just mediocre and there were no other WR free agents I'd say Danny Amendola is a nice idea. But the offense was real bad, Freeman needs help in a big way, the recieving core was bad, and there are tons of good free agent receivers this off season.

St. Louis was 26th in 3rd down conversions in 2010.  What's your next excuse?

And Morgan/Oma is still clueless about Bucs being among the league-worst.  They weren't.

Welker's stats while a Dolphin weren't impressive. This message board's logic is that he'd never been worth the Patriots signing him.

Amendola - same thing.

SI's Don Banks expects the Rams to let free agent Danny Amendola test the market for a sense of his value.

Hope the Bucs at least inquire about him. He'd be great as a third WR and he provides speed something we don't really have on offense outside of Martin.

Draft Marquise Goodwin and we're set at the slot.

Amendola would be a fantastic pick up. Could shore up the return game as well.

Nothing more than 4-5m a year, I would hope.

I wouldn't mind something like 3 years, 12 million for a guy that can return kicks and play as a 3rd down slot. My biggest worry is his current health and his ability to remain healthy.
