Man....I would love this hire...except it sounds like we are hiring baby sitters with this SR level crap.....if they are just on board as advisors this ship is sinking fast.

Man, who was it that first reported that Davis was still in play when everyone thought it was done? ;)

I know everyone thinks Butch is done, but I talked to my guy with the Bucs and he said they're still talking about him. Again, he doesn't have first-hand knowledge, just the word around the office, but last time he told me they hadn't given up on McNulty when everyone thought it was done and it came out the next day that the Glazers had appealed to Bidwill to overrule Whisenhunt.

With Davis being all over ESPN this past week for national signing day and the Bucs keeping everything under wraps until after the Super Bowl, it's certainly plausible that he's not out.

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

I actually like the idea of bringing in mentor type coaches/assistants. Schiano can bring some guys from RU and they can all learn from Davis.

Schiano wants teachers. My guess it doesn't really matter if he's DC or assistant. All of them will be doing their fair share of coaching and teaching.

**CENSORED** yes!  Great hire.

Apparently this "Senior Assistant" title thing isn't anything out of the ordinary.  Many teams in the NFL have them...like the Jets and Browns.

Senior Assistants along with OC and DC isn't going to be cheap.

DAMN CHEAP GLAZERZ!!!!!!!!

So does this mean we will see unknowns as the Coordinators, or they just trying to get fancy with titles?
