Being the former HC of the North Carolina Tar Heels, will he push for Coples and Zach Brown more than we should?  I can't see taking a DE at #5 but it's something to consider. If Brown drops in the late 1st then the Bucs might be tempted. Gonna be interesting.

I'm not a huge fan of either of them...so I hope he doesn't. Dwight Jones might be one I would support though.

Zach Brown is a very versatile and instinctive player. Coples showed some flashes at the senior bowl practice and game. Coples position isn't a need but it's gonna depend on FA and how the top 4 play out.

Of course he will affect our draft. But that doesnt mean it has to be for UNC players.

I could see us taking a late round flyer on a guy from UNC or Rutgers that other teams may not have. Guys that don't have the measurables but have the heart and leadership qualities. I don't think it will affect the top of our draft.

the one thing you can say about most UNC prospects is that they are usually elite athletes.  so one could infer that that is what Butch puts an emphasis on.

I disagree on Brown being "instinctive." He's blazing fast...but that's about it. Coples is lazy and completely shut it down for his senior season so he wouldn't get hurt before the draft. That's a guy that loves being a football player more than he loves playing football. Do not need another guy like that...we have enough already.

It should be interesting how much control that Dominik is going have over this draft.

That's an interesting thought...could he take over if Dom is ever fired?

Butch had a chance to draft Clinton Portis and took William Green.

Gruden had a chance to take Aaron Rodgers and took Cadillac Williams.   Point is, you can point toa mistake on the part of every coach/GM.

Yeah, you missed the point on that one.....people wanna know if Butch will influence the Bucs to draft guys from UNC, particularly Zach Brown or Quinton Coples. Butch had a chance to draft his star RB from the U and whiffed. Point being, no. That doesn't mean he will draft anyone from UNC..
