S&B, I don't love it, but I'm open-minded as well, and I look at it three ways:

1 - Schiano, Davis, Bob Fraser is there. They've all been coordinators. Fraser may not have pro experience, but he knows what Schiano wants in a defense.
2 - Sullivan was there. We can speculate about the reasons why the G-Men struggled that year defensively, but Sullivan knows whether he can coach or not. Over time good coaches usually perform, but 1 year isn't typically enough to separate the good from the bad.

This site is reporting that Bill Sheridan has been hired by the Bucs.

http://www.thelantern.com/sports/buckeye-s-bill-sheridan-hired-as-defensive-coordinator-in-tampa-bay-1.2786336#.Tz6vhGWZNTY

"And just like that, he was gone.

Bill Sheridan, defensive coach for Ohio State, and Urban Meyer's most recent hire, has accepted a job with the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

A source told The Lantern that Sheridan will be the new defensive coordinator in Tampa Bay under newly hired head coach, Greg Schiano."

Works for me. This defense will be Schiano and Davis' imo he will just be teaching and calling plays. If the guy can get our LB's to play like Miami's did I'm thrilled lol.

That's pretty much my outlook on it, Booker Reese and sunrisejeff.

Just like any other hire...I'll reserve judgement until we at least start seeing some games...

My least favorite of all the hires, but probably the least important with Schiano and Davis around

Giants fan on PFT fairly critical of the hire (but likes Coach Sullivan).

As much credit Giants’ fans give to TB for taking our other coach, we criticize this selection. Sheridan is awful.

Bryan Cox? Nice!

Love Bryan Cox! Still picture him with his 'Fin helmet on backwards, double birding the Buffalo crowd.

You've got to have at least one ex-ass kicking player on the staff. We let Greg Lloyd go last year and now Millard is gone. Cox is it.

Yea I like the addition of Brian Cox.  He was the Dolphins pass rushing specialist.

He was a mean and nasty player.  I really like that addition.  He was known as one of the most intimidating LBs in the league.

Between Cox/Sherridan/Schiano the front seven will be transformed for the better.
