Sources tell CBS' Clark Judge there is "virtually no chance" free agent Mario Manningham re-signs with the Giants, and that he is "expected" to sign with the Bucs.
Profootballtalk.com reported on Friday Manningham was set to hit the open market, but this is the first we've heard of the Bucs as a potential destination. Manningham is said to prefer warm-weather cities, and would be reuniting with former Giants QBs coach Mike Sullivan in Tampa, who was recently named the Bucs' offensive coordinator. Tampa is also awash in cap space and in dire need of upgrading its receiver corps, so on paper it's a very logical landing place for Manningham.

Not exactly the guy I want... he's like a shorter version of Mike Williams.  But hey, the Giants had the best overall receiving core in the league last season; maybe Manningham can show Benn, Briscoe, and Williams how the hell to prepare and study film.

Even if we do get him, I still want us to get a burner

I want a #1.  He's at best a #2.  Probably a #3.

There's a few other I like better...but he makes plays, and getting away from Nick & Cruz, he might just do well!

Garcon is a true #1, and I believe Blackmon can be a #1 too.  Manningham is actually a less explosive Arrelious Benn, but he has more experience.

I don't think he is a #1 and is more of what we already have plenty of.  If he's taking a roster spot held by Stroughter, then its a upgrade.  This team still needs serious speed at the WR position!

I hope Garçon and Meachem are some of our top targets at WR!

He'll bring major competition to our receiving corps & can show off his nice ring that he worked HARD for...
All Mario has to do is come down here and help Sully's offense score points. And I think that in a warm climate the dude would flat out ball in a place like Ray Jay.
