I'm waiting to hear the first dumb comment about Claiborne being slow or someone's opinion of him changing due to his 40.

Instead I can say that last night Mayock said he looked like a 4.3 or 4.4 player on the field.

Add his gamespeed with his wingspan.  He had the longest arms in the group even if he is 5'11. And theres at least one guy who is 6'3 3/4.

Haden trained with his dad for the combine in Ft. Washington, Maryland. His dad is not a professional trainer or the top end trainer these prospects get a chance to work out with. Every other DB worked with professionals. I'm glad he ran that 4.47 though b/c that 4.54 is disappointing.

Thats true.
I was just trying to say that the 40 time at the combine doesnt mean everything. Haden turned out to be one heck of a NFL corner even if he did run a slow 40.

Exactly. And I think we can all agre that if you have etched Haden play his on field speed isn't slow at all.

The one question I keep going around with is "was ever matched up against the other team's #1 WR"?  I don't remember reading anything about him being matched against Julio Jones or Alshond Jefferies, etc.  Did anyone see him play against the other team's #1 W/O and if yes, how did he do?  Did he shut them down?  I didn't see a lot of LSU games so I'd like some info if anyone has it.

Truths:
1.  Never have an argument with an idiot.  They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.
2.  For some it would be better if they remained silent and be thought a fool than to speak and erase all doubt.

my first pick is claiborne..

I think its more of a need then RB.. What we need to do is look at next years DB's and RB's dom likes to do that and will draft whatever is light next year.

When we lack talent as we currently do unless your picking a QB you DO NOT pick for need its BPA!

I hate these stupid threads, he ran a slow 40, blah blah blah.

Watch the game tape. Against elite speed at WR was he able to keep up? Can he close on the ball? Can he come up and tackle, can he cover the 9 route.

The 40 is for fans, not so much for teams.
