Cowboys will bid , but they are in love with Carr. I could see us coming out on top in this bidding war. The question is will we do what is necessary?

Give me Finnegan over Carr; all day, every day.

There's something about Finnegan and Lofton that just makes me feel really good about us attaining them.

Finnegan is a better CB than Carr.  Carr is younger.  pick your poison.

If they really want either of those guys they can make it happen. Just depends on if the Glazers agree to pay or not.

Brandon Carr is 2 years younger and just as good a player as Cortland Finnegan. Finnegan gets the edge in the leadership but that and age are the only difference. If I'm going to give 10 million per to a player then it's going to be to the younger guy.

Glazers will sign Rogers, Manningham, Tulloch. That will be our FA period, if all goes according to "the plan."

the age factor is a valid point but Carr isn't as good at this point IMO.  he was always the #2 and had many poor showings against tougher matchups.  He's alright, don't get me wrong but it ain't like he's this year's Jonathon Joesph.

Carr, then sign Marshall and draft Claiborne.  Make Marshall the nickel CB when they draft Claiborne.

would that give big contracts to newman, jenkins, and carr/finnegan?

I thought the Cowboys were cutting Newman? and I really don't see the Cowboys having the cap room to outbid us if we really want Carr.

I'll be happy if the Bucs sign either one. Finnegan might be a better fit for the Bucs because he is the instant leader of our Secondary. And that is much needed
