Given the state of the Bucs oLine one must get at least a little excited about a guy that generates so many yards after contact. It is my favorite thing about Blount as well.

I would like to think a backfield Richardson and Blount would rival or if not eclipse Williams and Stewart in terms of talent and ability

and with a ground game like that Play action would be a deadly weapon and make Freeman's job as a QB a dream IMO

For the first time I think we are in a position at 5 where we have a pick that is going to be a cant miss anywhere we go

Richardson. Claiborne, and Blackmon will most likely be three possibilities at 5 and all three are ballers no doubt

Well.... I got a woody.

I won't be unhappy if he's the pick.

Run sets up the pass still - right?

If Claiborne and Kalil are gone I would gladly pick Richardson with the 5th pick.

TR is beastmode. Maybe he's not well liked here on this MB, but trust me, you would be happy as hell with him running for your team.

The dude is the closest thing to MJD the Bucs will ever be able to obtain. I say take a "chance" and draft the kid!

He has the look of a 1200 yard back.

A season.

But so do a crapton of draftees. He is a beast though. And his kids can watch lil mermaid with GMac.

Probably will. TR would probably watch it too. He seems like a big kid at heart.

I remember the days Carolina was running all over people. Imo, having him and Blount would be scary for defenses. I could care less if we ran every down, just so long as the chains keep moving. Not to mention, it would be nice to have a little bit of depth. Afterall, a sound running game and a stout defense helps greatly in winning in PO or SB's. At the very least, they would have the running game locked up (like they (Schiano) wants).

They would have to work very hard for tackles every down throughout the entire game, and defenses would have to watch for it (because it would be OP) all the way through.

He is way better than Blount. He doesn't tiptoe through the hole. He finds the lane, hits it quick, and punishes whoever is in his way. His speed through the hole makes him a quality assets as a player.

Richardson is a bigger version of Walter Peyton with his versatility and attitude.  Not quite a fast a Walter.   Perfect fit for the Bucs. IMO
