Epic fail if this means the Bucs pass on Blackmon, Flloyd, and Wright in the draft.

Hopefully Wright falls to the second but its unlikely. Floyd is a mid first rounder so thats not possible for us, and Blackmon may not be there. Even if he is I personally don't think he is worth the Bucs #5 pick.

No way in hell is Manningham worth atleast $7-$8 million per year.  Manningham and/or his agent is on crack!

Hopefully the V-Jax tampering goes through and we don't have to worry about this anymore.

This team needs a deep threat number 1 WR and Manningham is neither.

I wouldn't say need. Having a "#1receiver" is one of the most pointless and overrated things said on this board. You can't sit there and say that having Manningham wouldn't be beneficial to our WR corps

Meh, I guess he did make a couple of nice grabs in the super bowl. Hes not any different than what we already got though.

\\\\\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\\\\\"

While I tend to agree with your assessment of the #1 WR thing, paying that much means you need more than a guy who is just "beneficial to our WRW corps"

Everytime I see these threads with Manningham in them I want to throw up.

Might as well draft a WR @3. Manningham is nothing special, even for Tampa.

Naismith was right about Revis. Everyone else is a dummy.

I would much rather the Bucs go after Pierre Garcon and Eddie Royal/Laurent Robinson.

Everyone in the media is just assuming this crap simply because Sullivan is our OC....

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

He's a proven NFL receiver. He's not elite, he won't ever reach all pro status, but he's reliable. Those kinds of players are a need too, not every player signed needs to be pro bowl material. Right now he's a clear upgrade, I'll take it.

My problem with Manningham is he has the same skill set as Williams, Benn, and Briscoe and the team needs a deep threat WR who can take the top off coverages. Manningham is a decent WR but he simply is not needed here.
