Per Stroud: With Nicks under contract, look for the Bucs to release C Jeff Faine, who counts nearly $8-mil against salary cap.

I have to credit to the Glazers because they've certainly earned it. It took a jackhammer to open up their pockets to get to the checkbook, but once they got it out they wrote some big ones. Morris got to be a little upset that they're stocking the talent cupboard for Schiano and basically left Morris with empty shelves.

After Morris' first year we had a lot of guys with a lot of potential. There was no sense in bringing in guys when we thought we were set at so many positions. After last year it was clear we needed serious help, so we went and got it.

Per Twitter: Total deals for V. Jackson, C. Nicks & E. Wright: $140.5M. Guess team management wasn't kidding when it said the Bucs would be active in FA.
So we signed Wright for a 5 year 40 mil essentially?

18 hours can make a helluvadifference.....and we are just getting started............and then there's the draft. Some people are going to have to **CENSORED** about something different in the future.

Bye, Bye Faine.

Finally have a premium player on the OL.  Loving it.  Nicks is a stud.

Impressive. To land VJax and Nicks is quite a feat.

I remember a few years ago we struck out on FA because only Dom had authorization to negotiate and he was busy trading for K2. Wonder who was helping him land these guys this year.

still gotta start winning games.  Freeman has to progress or its all for naught.  But I now think playoffs should be a legitimate goal.

I thought Nicks wanted to be the highest paid guard, we got him at a discount for 40 something mil.  I would have thought he'd be close to 60 mil.
