The adjustment in the Bucs defensive scheme adjustment this season will take advantage of a DT's speed.

Out of the 4-5 teams that have already expressed interest in DT Amobi Okoye, the Buccaneers are an interesting fit.

Would be really good depth and push our starters. I like it much better than Fat Al.

Yeah, I like the fact that he's just 24 years old and already has 6 years experience.  That means that he's finished maturing both physically and mentally.  He's got a lot of good years left.

This is probably a make or break year for Gerald McCoy. If they sign Okoye it definitely is.

He has underwhelmed, but he is very young. Unreal that he could make the nfl at that age without peaking physically from college.

Liked him coming out of college. Not sure what happened in Houston and Chicago...

I loved Okoye when he came out of college. He was a stud. He has been a bust in the NFL (based on his draft status) but he still is a decent DT. We definitely need depth at DT. Price and McCoy can't stay healthy and Miller has been getting pushed all over the field. Okoye would come in and slide Miller down to the 4th DT and he'd push McCoy and Price. I'd definitely like to see this move happen.

Whoa...shiver me ****in timbers!

I don't think it's a make or break year for McCoy in terms of production, just in terms of health. If he can stay healthy all year, he's already proven to be a good DT and a part of the future of this team.

That said, sign Okoye! Hell, sign Christian Okoye, too!

I think it'd be more of a sign that it's a make or break year for Miller.  I like Okoye better than I liked Okam or Haynesworth, but he wouldn't be a signing that I'd expect amazing things from.

He is just not that explosive coming out of the gate. He is very average. But would be a decent depth pickup. McCoy hasnt been a pillar of durability.

If we are bringing in DTs, I would rather have a run stuffer than a penetrator

He actually played pretty well as a rotational guy with the Bears.  I think he'd be good depth as well as insurance for us.

i think most fans like okam and haynesworth because they give size, something okoye doesnt do quite so well.
